Africa Internet Summit 2025

AfricaCERT convened a continent-wide Cyber Drill and hands-on web-attack training during AIS 2025. More than 200 participants joined onsite and online, including SOC analysts, incident responders, system administrators and network engineers.

The programme covered web vulnerabilities, attack and detection techniques, server-log analysis and cyber-risk assessment. A virtual team-based drill reinforced operational resilience and collaboration across Africa’s Internet and cybersecurity communities.

2026Online Training

AIS 2026 Cybersecurity Training

AfricaCERT hosted a free three-day, two-track programme covering Cyber Threat Intelligence and OT/ICS cybersecurity. Around 300 participants joined from Africa and beyond.

The CTI track introduced MISP, OpenCTI and TheHive. The OT/ICS track addressed industrial control systems, secure architecture, risk assessment, incident response and critical-infrastructure protection.

2026Nairobi, Kenya

AIS 2026 Capture-the-Flag Competition

The 48-hour competition featured 63 practical cybersecurity challenges spanning network security, web application security, digital forensics, incident response and Internet infrastructure security.

It attracted 144 participants from across Africa. B3alth S3ciety of Kenya placed first, followed by SlyCyber Team and Exception, demonstrating the growing depth of African cybersecurity talent.
